We are pleased to co-present with Alberta Theatre Projects, Café Daughter, January 15 – 27, 2019.

Based on the true story of Senator Lillian Eva Quan Dyck, Café Daughter is the powerful, funny and touching tale of one woman’s journey to reclaim her heritage.

In 1950’s small-town Saskatchewan, nine-year-old half-Chinese, half-Cree Yvette Wong struggles to find her in place in a small-minded community until an unexpected ally helps set her on a path that’s destined for greatness.

Coming this January 2019 to the 33rd Annual High Performance Rodeo, Sansei: The Storyteller. Co-Presented with Lunchbox Theatre, Calgary’s Mark Ikeda explores that dark period in Canada’s history when Japanese Canadians were forced to live in labour and internment camps. This light-hearted examination uses dance, theatre & humour to weave this enduring tale.

THAT'S A WRAP ON THE 32ND ANNUAL HIGH PERFORMANCE RODEO!

We hope you enjoyed this year’s High Performance Rodeo! We brought you artistic works to entertain, inspire, challenge, and shock your wild side, and you took up the challenge.
